    Colorful Rugs
    Gate to Grocery Market

I wonder whats behind this door

    Children in Casablanca
they were cute till I got a flt with 45 kids Monsters
I thought this little girl was cute tho tomboyish
    I can't remember her name
she only speaks Arabic and she was pretty interested in my camera.
So I let her take picture of this boy
She loved looking thru my photos from Paris and Singapore.
She exclaims everytime she sees a picture of me and others.
And when we left, she was in the middle of the road hailing a cab for us.
    Pretty sweet girl.

    Caribbean Sea
    Lamb Tagine for dinner
Is it me or do I look fat?!?!?!

Karachi flight was so tiring. Its so hard to please 180 passengers during an hour flight.
Next up is Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Yet another turnard.

I'll be in Jakarta on 3rd and will have 50+hrs for Layover. I can't wait! Shopping and Spa!!

Can it heal where others before have failed?

Airbus 380 was in Dubai on 17th August and I was super excited about it. I signed up to be apart of the team operating it, probably along with hundreds of other crews. Obviously, I wasn't selected. =( But I just found this article written by a fellow crew, Jeevz Angel and it had me super excited all over again so I thought I would share the article.

    "Hiiyaaa

I had a lovely time today operating the a-380
It is a silent gentle giant as described by many ppl - and it truly is !!
Take off was real short n quite. It is both spacious and one would not feel tired after a long journey. It has many new features like an automatic door opening function by the touch of a button, better lavatories, numerous arrangements for the galleys, 2 lifts to transfer trolleys among the 2 decks, amazing configuration and options for arrangements of seats, crew bulk rest with a separate one close to the cockpit for the flight crew, stairways on both the aft n fwd of the cabin, side storage units below the windows, wooden floor paneling, open bar counters and storage spaces, social areas, large wing span.

In short come and explore for urself and keep discovering. Its like 2 planes flying on top of one another. It has a total of 16 doors - 10 in the lower or main deck while 6 in the upper deck. the boarding was done in zones which will def reduce the time that we face while boarding pax.

It is a big daddy of aircrafts and is the future of air travel. The no of crew who operated it was 22 excluding the flight deck. Today we just flew over Dubai and pax were served with special snack boxes to remember the first flight. They were also handed out t-shirts and cds from airbus as take away. We also had numerous managers from various departments to add to the pax list. Once service was complete pax were allowed to check out aircraft deck by deck. There was a lot of confusion and photo sessions and this continued till captain made a pa to ask them to return back to their seats - lot of excitement on the atmosphere - ppl were actually taking pictures of the toilets we had onboard. u know how it starts - one takes a pic n the rest follows not knowing why : hehe !!

well that was the story for today - only thing is that we had to do it twice !! first flight was form 10.00 am till 12.00 noon and then the second was from 2.00pm till abt 4.00pm. I got home feeling famished after a hard days work :) by abt 5.00 pmTomorrow the same story would be told except with different passengers.
so till then enjoy the snaps that I have in store for u on my profile : http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=3934&id=505834929

    cheers,
    jeevz"

"an automatic door opening function by the touch of a button" *gasp* its like a dream come true! You have no idea how I struggle pushing those super heavy doors open! And I had to do it over and over again during training college. =X
I cant wait for the big bird to come. One more year to go! I hope by then I will be a Grade1! *fingers crossed*

    The Grim Goodbye

I realized that ever since I've got here, I haven't really photoblog about Dubai.

    So here you go,
    The famous Sheikh Zayed Road

    The view from my balcony

See how there isn't a single tree in 2km Radius.

The season's gonna change soon. But I won't be seeing any leaves falling off the trees.

    I'm sorry I bothered you.
I haven't fly eversince my leave and its driving me nuts.

    so have it your way

    I swear I didn't spin him
He's just a ditsy cat so he looks dizzy.

And this is the reason why I find my necklaces on the floor in 2/3 pieces.

I hate that your note was so casual, so neutral and so damn polite.
Why can't you be straight forward.

So help me heal these wounds, they've been open for way to long

I used to be angry at mom for painting a beautiful picture over the reality every time we talk about papa. I don't think its very fair of her not to acknowledge what he put us through.
But then again, when I look up my closet door, saw the random photos of friends and polaroids onboard along with a photo of mom and papa, I realized I have been pretty hypocritical myself. I've picked out the happiest looking one. A candid shot where he sat closed to her and both laughing on his 51st Birthday.

I remember he had 3 exact same cakes that his friends bought. And I stole a photo with the cake, pretending to be my birthday.

Anyhow, what I meant to say is, I didn't pick those formal photos where mom sits and papa stands behind with his hand placed on her shoulder. Or the awkward ones where they are both dressed up and sitting next to each other with fake smiles or rather expressionless faces.

So I guess, just like mom, I think I would rather remember the good times than the bad. Its hard to forget the pain, caused by all the emotional abuse and let go of the anger but I really want to move on.

I want to live on my own, cut off from the past. Possibly forget about him. Maybe thats one of the reasons why I moved to Dubai. Or am so cold to my grandmothers. I know they don't deserve it, and its not fair to mom to be so far away from her daughter. And not hear from her even once a week. But I can't help it.

    This is my escape.

If I could open my mouth wide enough for a marching band to march out

Tu ne quaesieris, scire nefas, quem mihi, quem tibi
finem di dederint, Leuconoe, nec Babylonios
temptaris numeros. ut melius, quidquid erit, pati.
seu pluris hiemes seu tribuit Iuppiter ultimam,
quae nunc oppositis debilitat pumicibus mare
Tyrrhenum: sapias, vina liques et spatio brevi
spem longam reseces. dum loquimur, fugerit invida
aetas: carpe diem quam minimum credula postero.
    -Horace

    Leuconoe, don't ask — it's dangerous to know —
what end the gods will give me or you. Don't play with Babylonian
fortune-telling either. Better just deal with whatever comes your way.
Whether you'll see several more winters or whether the last one
Jupiter gives you is the one even now pelting the rocks on the shore with the waves
of the Tyrrhenian sea--be smart, drink your wine. Scale back your long hopes
to a short period. Even as we speak, envious time
is running away from us. Gather the day, there is nothing else beyond that.

There's something about you, now I can't quite figure out

    Base Sweet Base

So I am back in Dubai. The land that lacks friends, affection, attention and Andrew Chow Chow.

My wishful thinking turned out to be nothing but just a wishful thinking. Its still summer and burning hot here. It was 34 degree Celcius at 5 in the morning when we landed.

I've been to the laundry and grocery store. Oh, my Grocery store man noticed that I have been away for a while. It made me flash a big smile and tell him about my leave. Someone actually felt my absent. woot! And of course my security guard (Mr. Pringles) who was there to greet me when I first step into the building. =]

Noise and Arthur are still alive and kicking. Arthur isn't playing with the squeaky football that I bought him, instead he gets on my dresser and push off my cellphones. All 3, one by one. Soon, he will be calling my friends in SG to tell them about his experience inside the Tumble dryer and request them to call SPCA.
I'm so tempted to do it again. But this time with my camera ready to record while he topples and falls inside as it spins. =X

    Singapore was good.
Phuture with YY was as awesome as ever. Jumping "Little girls" and underage looking guys. A little over enthusiastic kissing that results in a sore back for the next 2 days! Arab Street backpackers Inn cafe was unusually crowded. Nonetheless, I still love chilling out there with babes. Sheesh Kebab and mixed fruits Shisha smoking at Merrakesh is always fun. Indirectly helping a couple get back together. A little bit of emo-ism over the uncool *** of a soft spot! Cafe Del Mar with Jeanie and babes in messed up dress code, and wishing upon a shooting star followed by a session of convincing each other that it was in fact a shooting star. Movie at my all time favorite Cathay Cineplex where I said "I hate this movie!" out loud half way. Welcoming someone into "the family". Jeanie! Get the ang bao ready! 20 cents should surffice. Camwhoring with my beloved graduand. I'm so proud of her. A good dosage of Gilmore Girls. All the good food that I have been deprived. Read 2 great books, A thousand Splendid Suns and Prisoner of Tehran.

    Beachbum & Executive

    A wannabe
    Thats about it!.

Next leave is 16th - 27th November. I promise I will beg, bribe and threaten ppl to swap their off days with me and extend this leave.

My VS bikinis are herreeee... The black one is purrfect but the white one doesn't fit right.

Note to self : Do not think of someone else while you are making out with one. And most importantly, do not compare. You mite feel guilty.

    You and Me - Lifehouse

One of the things that I want to say just aren't coming out right
    I'm tripping on words
    You've got my head spinning
I don't know where to go from here

'Cause it's you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
    Nothing to prove
And it's you and me and all other people
And I don't know why, I can't keep my eyes off of you

Yesterday you told me 'bout the blue blue sky

I didn't shop in Paris! Horror!
    I did buy a sweater tho. heh~

I went to churches there. Everything is so beautiful there. Its a shame that some ppl are really rude. =(

I hate it when things are over

    Dxb-Sin-Bne-Akl-Bne-Sin-Dxb 15-22 July 07

It was a better trip compare to last trip cuz I wasn't sick and I had a road trip. But I like the other group of crew better tho. This time, they were so senior and not that up beat and happy anymore. And the gay SFS telling me about his date with a guy who doesn't use condoms at DINNER was way too much information laaa.. And he is so freakin lazy onboard but he gave me a good appraisal so thats fine. heh~
On the first day I went up Sunshine coast to Steve Irwin's zoo. Pat a kangaroo and a koala, watched the show at Crocoseum and drive up to Mooloolaba. But my camera decided to be as gay as the SFS and refuse to work. It was so cold at the beach.

The next day, after the shuttle, We drove down south to Gold Coast. I wanna live there. Learn to surf, open a restaurant and marry a hot surfer dude. LOL
I was the navigator with the map. I am gonna collect those maps now and mark wherever I've been.

I came back with 3 shot glasses from the trip. One from the Zoo with a Kangaroo, Mooloolaba with a topless woman and another from Gold Coast.

Here are the picsy for your viewing pleasure ^.~
